At DDB, one of the market’s leading Advertising Groups with 60+3 years of presence, we are looking for one talented Junior Front End developer that will be part of the future success of the company by supporting the creation of digital products. The role will report to the Creative Director of the Craft team.
We are looking for a motivated junior developer that is fascinated by advertising.
You are hybrid. You like being creative as much as you like playing around with coding and new technologies. You have the mindset of a freelancer but you prefer to work in big teams. You certainly take off your headset more than once a day as you want to interact with the copywriters or the account managers.
You just graduated or have 1-2 of working experience, you have already have a couple of projects, either from the university or persona, to prove you know HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, WordPress and other off the shelf CMS systems, Bootstrap and other Responsive Frameworks. You also have knowledge of relevant tools for graphics design (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc).
You also know PHP and have a working knowledge of Back End Functionality? Even better!
You are someone with ownership, once you commit to a deadline no one needs to follow up with you. You are also a natural multitasker, jumping from one task to the other like a pro.
Above all, you are nice and talented!
Let’s break down what that means for us.
You have a positive attitude, seeing the opportunity even in a problem. You have a winner’s attitude and a “can do” mentality.
You care not only about your job but for the team as well. If someone spills their coffee, you clean the mess. Everyone wants to collaborate with you. Long story short: company > your team > yourself.
You are self-driven but you also have the charisma to motivate the ones around you. You don’t just follow orders, you create opportunities. You can connect those dots to create the big picture.
You are talented in a way that you raise the bar for the whole team.
Your work has real impact on the business of DDB and most importantly on your client’s business. Impact doesn’t translate in the volume of work you produce, but is more about the quality of your outcome.
Our founder Bill Bernbach once said “Life is too short to sacrifice so much of it, to living with a bastard”.
What’s your day-to-day
Your daily routine will evolve around newsletters, microsites and maintenance.
You will collaborate with the rest of the Craft team as well as other teams of the Creative department and you will propose solutions in UI/UX problems.
You will participate in the creation of new projects.
You will propose new technologies to the team.
Are you up for it? If yes, here’s what we offer in return.
We offer the unique opportunity of playing an important role in a company that carries the wisdom of 60 years of history but is also agile enough to thrive in the digital economy. You will have the opportunity to work for some of the market’s leading brands, in a workplace free of “divas” and politics.
